The above rendering was made more than a year after the initial design. In the interim, a second design was developed, based on a 30-60-90 triangle, with the steep angle south facing to catch the sun. This design goes back to the original, with a boxy look, a patio and a secondary roof. Both the roof of the micro cabin and the secondary roof have a gentle slope to allow rain water to flow naturally off, without that slope changing the profile of the cabin or taking up too much interior space.
A rendering of the micro-cabin showing use as an office with a seated occupant for a sense of scale. The inside dimensions are 5' x 8' x 5'.There is generous window space for an open, airy feel.
Another view of the interior when set up for an office space, with occupant seated for a sense of scale. Note that the volume, although much smaller than is normally associated with an office, can be almost completely outfitted, if needed.
